What is a 6061 Aluminum Round Bar?

6061 aluminum round bar is a kind of widely used extruded solid aluminum bar product. It is made from aluminum 6061, the most versatile heat-treatable alloy (sometimes referred to as the "work-horse" alloy) with excellent corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties.

6061 is considered a forged alloy (not a conventional cast alloy due to its low silicon content, which affects the fluidity of the casting).
